I recieved this at 3 p.m while at work today from Frankie's colleague (thanks bro') and I guess I almost could not believe what I was reading. A childhood friend who had so much to look forward to has just passed away at the age of 35.

At this moment I am speechless but I will always remember him as we always keep in touch via SMS and also his blog at Ibanguy which I constantly check to see what he was up to. His February 2007 posting started with "I have the feeling that this New Chinese Year of the Boar (Pig) will be a turning point in my life.Something is in the air that I cannot figure out but its gonna be significant." I wish he had not said that... but..... he is in God's kingdom now.

I shared his sadness when he bid farewell to his late mum just last year.

Frankie dedicate's his affection to his late Mum, whom he just lost last August 2006, Madam Regina Dina Simon here.

His wish was to go back to Sibu for this year's Gawai to visit his late Mum's resting place. His last shoutout in his Shout Box says it all just before Easter.

Frankie..... thanks for those times we had in the younger days. You had been in love with music since the day we started listening to rock songs. There are moments when I was in Kota Kinabalu that I had wanted to catch that plane to Labuan to see you. And when you were in Kuching I understand that we were too busy to meet up. We had always thought that time would be on our side. Yeah.... if not today, maybe tomorrow. That's what we thought. But now that moment will not come. You did not even say goodbye.... its sad to see you go buddy. I want to thank you for your blogging too for it has taught me something about life. You left a blog that sums up a life that is full. There is no sign of any grudges or bitterness in your blog - you share with your readers something that is amazing. I can't keep my cool in cyberspace as you are able to. Your words and thoughts shall remain in cyberspace for everyone to ponder - those who have known you and those who would have known you through your blog. And so I say farewell .....I say it with a heavy heart. Goodbye my friend and God Bless.....
