Rediscovering Angela

Finding Angela!

Its probably age that is catching up. Men usually likes to blame it on the time factor when something happens to them. The 'Seven Year Itch' probably since I was married in 2001, so is it happening to me? Or is it coincincidental that I would be turning 40 years old this month? Life begins at 40 as most of the men species usually claim. I do not know. But one thing for sure it can strike you out of nowhere - anytime! But for Angela - 'sigh', its not that I had just met Angela. I would say Angela came into my life many years ago - right before I was married. I was a teenager then and we met for the first time at one of the cinema at that time. Wierd as it may sound we started meeting one another whenever there's a movie blockbuster shown. After all there were not many cinemas in Sibu at that time. Soon after I took the courage to get to know Angela. However I lost contact with Angela after I completed my Malaysian Certificate for Examination and left for Taiping Perak to continue my Pre-University. That was in the late 80s and emails or SMSes were not available at that time. To cut it short, we never saw one another again.

This is not Angela - just a deco picture for my blog

And so it must have been fated that I caught a glimpse of Angela when I was in Kuching but well - being married now, its difficult....I know...but I know Angela saw me too. But it was during last month that I broke the rules. I saw Angela at one of the shopping centres - Choice Premier at Jalan Tun Jugah to be exact. I suppose most of the Nadai Nama readers will probably be mad at me for my moment of weakness. To cut the story short ~ Yes - I took Angela in every sense of the word and it became a point of no return. That was two months ago and well, I had several escapades with Angela both in Kuching and Sri Aman. I do not wish to baffle readers with this complicated situation. It is something that I have put myself in. What I seek is an understanding on whether this 'scenario' happens to all men my age. I am 39 not yet 40 (I am not a Boy, Not Yet a Man)but soon enough I will be there. I went blog hopping to find out if anyone is going through the same state of confusion as I am. I guess I am out of luck as no one seems to be able to provide an answer. Most bloggers near my age just put up a blog and suddenly turn into Member of Parliament. Some earned a trip to 'Kamunting University' under ISA scholarship. Some are determined to change Government. Gosh... I told myself that my blog is out of sync with the veteran blogging community! Here I am blogging about my encounter with an old flame - Angela, when I should be contributing to blogs about change and a better world. Am I going out of my mind or just plain crazy? It is probably at this time one starts to think if life is truly unfair.

My friends in Sri Aman were a bit dazed when I introduced Angela to them at Stamang Corner. My drinking mates, Stella, Hunny and Carl were not to happy about me and Angela. They refused to accept my explanation about this new found relationship. They even chided me for my choice as they felt Angela was not in their league. I reasoned with them that this is not a new found relationship - it is a rediscovery of what we had in the past and the spark was still there. She is elegant, smooth and fills me. Still they were adamant and insisted I leave Angela as its a 'recycled love affair' they claim.

I suppose it would have been a matter of time before my wife found out about this secret relationship. While driving down to Kuching from Sri Aman, my wife MMSed me and I almost hit on the emergency brakes as I read the MMS! There in my handphone was an MMS picture of Angela - and my wife's text message was that Angela was 'waiting'. I had planned to go on the defensive immediately when I reached home. My mind went round like a whirlwind. How would I explain myself. Had I been reckless that she knew about Angela? Had my wife been observing me all this while.

On reaching home I saw Angela and my missus together. She had met Angela also at the same shopping centre and brought her home as she knew I would be back soon. Omigod! I asked how she knew.... she said she had been noticing that I had avoided my regular drinking buddies Hunny Kin, Stella and Carl and had seen me holding and gazing Angela while at the shopping centre. So she got the hint.

My wife's MMS

Sorry Hunny Kin, Stella and Carl.... Angela has 1% alcohol so I guess its a healtheir drink compared to all of you

My pretty Angela Sandy!

So the same question again: Do we men need to redefine ourselves and the way we blog when we reach a certain age. When you reach that level of thinking, sit down and have an Angela Sandy! (This is not an advertisement by the way and I am not paid for the post). Thank you.

I prefer Anglia Shandy if the house owner force me to take alcohol beverages during Gawai or Christmas. Shandy never make people drunk.

Although I've sort of 'matured' in my writings from the emo blog that I used to run, I do think that blogs are meant for self expression. Period.

Freedom of the speech is a double edged sword. You can write about a totally harmless affair with beer and it can come back and haunt you when you're an MP.

So to cut it short, I really don't know :)

I wonder if you're writing and expressing your heart and mind initially and 'disguised' the story towards the end inorder not to be judged in certain ways by our socity. I just want to say that I 'felt' the situation.
Whatever it is ..who are we to say what is right or wrong in somebody elses life.
When I turned 40 , I did go through that 'adventourious mood'. Maybe the saying 'life starts at 40' is to be blame as it gives us the excuse to do so.
